How to see God's Word come to pass in your life
Finding a Scripture that reveals God’s truth is the first step to seeing God’s Word come to pass in your life. But as we have already discovered it is not about just quoting the literal words because the power of God is released when you believe and act on what it says. So don’t just focus on the literal words but on the message of what those words are saying!
This lesson I wanted to cover a little bit on confession…
…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9-10 (NKJV)
Many believers misunderstand what it means to confess the Word. I see many caught up with declaring the literal Word without having a personal revelation on what those words are saying. We need to remember that what God has said in His Word has already been established for us. His Word is our instruction book for life and shows what we have already inherited as a believer. For this reason we don’t declare or confess God’s Word to move God or to make something happen. Instead, we confess and say what has already happened! God has already moved and done everything for us through the finished work of the Cross!
So confession doesn’t move God but moves us into what God has already provided!
The word confess in Greek in the scripture above is homologeo and means: to agree with, not to refuse or deny, to declare openly, speak out freely. So confession is to agree out of our mouth by saying the same thing as what God’s Word says about what He has done for us through His Son!
Confession is two-fold; it helps us to renew our minds with the truth and it’s also how we see God’s power released in our life when we say what God says about us!
I love what the message version says of this Scripture…..
The Word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It's the Word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming Word to God—"Jesus is my Master"—embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what He did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting Him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!" Romans 8:8-10 (Msg)
We understand that we don’t have to confess God’s Word or what Jesus has done for us many times to come into Salvation. We simply embrace what Jesus has done by believing and acting on it. This is the same for everything that Jesus redeemed us from through His finished work.
It is so easy to get into works and self-effort and performance mode when we need a breakthrough but we need to remind ourselves that the things of God's Kingdom are notearned but learned. We therefore need to renew our minds with what we already have in Christ so that we can see this truth established in our heart! Then out of the overflow of our heart our mouth will speak and we will start thinking and saying what God says. Our lives will be transformed and soon circumstances as a result. The rest will be history.

PLANT don't SCATTER the seed!
Last time I shared how God’s Word is His seed on this earth and is how we see His Kingdom outworking in our lives. This message I want to clarify how to apply God’s Word, because I see many stumble in this area. I want to expose a myth, formula or methodology that many seem to struggle with.
My heart is to share the simplicity of how to receive revelation, and see God's power released to transform your life. I therefore pray that this message will help you to get back on track and for the truth to set you free!
One question I often get asked when people are caught in an emergency situation is:
“What Scripture can I claim for my situation?”
But this is not what God’s Word is about!
To see God’s power released in our lives through His Word is not about naming and claiming or about confessing God’s Word hundreds of times over to make it work. To use God’s Word this way is like scattering seed into thin air.
While God’s Word is alive and full of power we need to understand how it works. Think of the simplicity of how a seed germinates. Does it grow roots and come to life when it is sown into thin air, or when it is planted in fertile soil? In like manner, we don’t just grab a scripture and simply declare it over a situation thinking that it will magically change things. Where God’s Word (His seed) comes to life is when it is planted in the fertile soil of our hearts.
We are the ground where the Word needs to be sown.
This means that God’s Word needs to become living and active in us!
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130
God’s written Word needs to become a Living Word! So if we want to see what God’s Word says come to pass in our life, it is not throwing it at our circumstances but rathersowing it into our lives by spending the time meditating on what it says until the message comes alive and we understand what it is saying to us personally.

How Does God's Word Grow?
...in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. James 1:21b (Amp)
In the scripture above, implanted literally means engrafted – when something foreign becomes a part of whatever it is grafted onto.
Strong’s Concordance describes engrafted as: to swell up; to germinate or grow (sprout, produce), literally or figuratively, to spring up!
It is therefore important that you spend time in God’s Word until it is engrafted in your heart, so that it can spring to life, take root and grow. You can do this by transforming your thinking by renewing your mind with the truth of what God’s Word says until that truth springs up and becomes more real to you than what the natural circumstances are saying.
Initially, for many the natural circumstances may appear more real and powerful than the truth in God’s Word, but be encouraged because the natural report doesn’t need to be our final report!
Let God’s Word be your final authority!

God's Word is His Seed on the Earth
I have already shared on how God’s Word is Living and Active and how it has already been established here on this earth. His Word shows us who we are in Christ and what we have inherited as believers. It is our instruction book to show us how to live a healthy, blessed, prosperous and fruitful life. I believe that it is important to understand that this is what God’s Word is for so that we can grow by its truth and start seeing God’s kingdom outworking in our lives.
In Matthew 13, Luke 8:9-15 and Mark 4 Jesus shares several parables on how God’s Kingdom operates. My personal favourite is the Parable of the Sower because Jesus compares the sowing of natural seed with God’s Word. He reveals that God’s Word is His seed on the earth.
The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11
Jesus used what the people of that day understood. It’s a simple yet powerful analogy of how God’s Kingdom (nature, power and ability) comes, grows and outworks in our lives.
In the natural earthly realm, God created plants to reproduce after themselves through the growth and germination of seeds. He created a seed with everything within itself to reproduce after its own kind. So when the seed is planted it will come to life, grow and bear fruit. In like manner EVERYTHING has already been programmed into the seed of God’s Word so that when it is sown, ALL BY ITSELF it will come to life, grow and bear fruit in your life!
To be Continued….
I want you to meditate on this simple truth for the next couple of days and also to think on how natural seeds were created to work. Then hopefully as I build on my message it will come alive!

God's Word has ALREADY Been Established
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will never pass away. Matt 24:35
God’s Word is eternal because His Word stands true forever. This means it is the same today as it was when it was first spoken or written. God does not alter His Word or take back what He has said because it is impossible for Him to change His mind or to lie (Heb 6:18).
My Covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Ps 89:34 (KJV)
Our Covenant cannot be broken because it wasn’t made between God and men but between God and Himself (Heb 6:13- 18). God has chosen to bind Himself to His Word. He swore by Himself, so it can never be broken (see Is 45:23 and Heb 6:13).
God has already established His Word and Covenant here on this earth. Every provision within it is signed and sealed by the blood of Jesus. When we accepted Christ’s sacrifice we entered into relationship with God and into this Covenant. This means that all that belongs to God now belongs to us. He took our sickness, pain, shame, lack and loss and gave us His health, love, acceptance, fruitfulness and prosperity in every area of our lives!
For where there is a last will and testament involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death, since it has no force or legal power as long as the one who made it is alive.Heb 9:16-17 (Amp)
If our earthly parents died and left us possessions in a will then we wouldn’t have to pray, beg or plead for them - we would have inherited them. We would simply need to go and take possession of our new belongings. We don’t need to ask for what already belongs to us, we simply go and possess what God has already provided through His Son.
Now that is Good News!

God's Word is Living and Active!
Sadly there is a lot of confusion when it comes to God’s Word. Many misinterpret or don’t understand what it is saying so they don’t take the time to read it for what it is worth. But when you take the time to not just read the literal words but instead digest the message of what the words are saying, they will come alive and become a source of life to you!
My words are spirit and they are life. John 6:63 NIV
I love how the Message Version translates this Scripture…
The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit- word, and so it is life-making. John 6:63 (Msg)
When we need a breakthrough, it is so easy to get caught up in works, self-effort and performance mode where we do everything in our own power to see things change. But through God’s Word we have access to His power because His Words are spirit and life. They are not just ink on paper! So if we embrace the simple, yet powerful truth they bring they can transform our whole life!
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The Amp Says…For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
We all need to grow in God’s Word and this is two-fold: we need to allow God’s Word to grow in us plus we ourselves need to also grow up in the Word! Jesus Himself told us that we should not live on bread alone but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God (Matt 4:4). We therefore need to learn how to feed and chew on what the Word says so that we can release the life within.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so thatyou will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment. 1 Pet 2:2 (NLT)
God wants us to experience the fullness of His Salvation! The Greek word for Salvation means to be complete, perfect and whole in every area of life. Salvation, is not just about the forgiveness of sins because what Jesus purchased was for every area of life.
Therefore start meditating on the truth of what God’s Word says to overthrow wrong attitudes and thoughts so that your minds can be renewed and lives transformed as a result.

God's Word is His will for our Lives!
Did you realise that you can know God’s will for your life?
God’s will for you isn’t what the doctors say, what your symptoms say, what your diagnosis is, what your bank balance is or what the natural circumstances dictate; but rather what His Word says! It is therefore important that we dig into God's Word so that we can discover what it says and understand His perfect will for every area of our lives. And once we know what it says we then need to start renewing our mind with its truth so that our thinking can be transformed and we can believe it for ourselves.
There may be times in our lives when our circumstances don’t line up with the Word, and we may conclude that what happened was God’s will for that situation. But we need to realise that God’s Word isn’t proven or disproven by our personal experiences. When our circumstances don’t line up with what the Word says, we shouldn’t judge or assume it is God’s will. Instead we should continue to make what God’s Word says to be the final authority, because when we live by that truth that is when it can become reality in our lives.
We can be certain that God’s cannot act contrary to His own Word. God will never break His Word – ever! He has sworn by Himself so we can be confident that He will always keep His promises.
Now that is Good News!
