Watch your Vision!
Faith has vision because it both sees and knows the end result. It enables you "to see" the things you desire before you receive them. But i’m not talking about looking through your natural eyes but rather through the eyes of faith. That means to look through the eyes of God’s Word because His Word ‘paints the picture’ of what we want to receive. Praise God that there is nothing blind about faith!
While faith has vision it is important to note that fear has vision too! While faith pictures us with the answer, meditating on fear pictures us without it!
For example: Fear sees you without the answer Faith sees you with the answer Fear sees the worst result Faith sees the desired result Fear links you to the natural Faith links you to the supernatural
Therefore, it is important to learn to recognise when you are looking at your circumstances through the eyes of fear so you can stop, change focus, and walk by faith in what God’s Word says instead!
I have a girlfriend whose son was suffering from an undiagnosed medical condition. However, all the test results were leaning towards leukemia. At first my girlfriend was overcome by fear. She allowed fear to lead her and as she meditated upon the fears she began to picture her son without hair due to future treatment, picture herself at his funeral and even visiting his grave! After we chatted and prayed together on the phone she made the decision to picture her son’s condition through the eyes of what God’s Word instead. She began to see him healed, as a young man graduating from high school and university, on his wedding day and on presenting her with her first grandchild. She also exercised her authority over the physical condition of His body and commanded healing to manifest. Needless to say the test results came back clear of leukemia and he recovered from that condition!
So let this simple message encourage you to only focus on what God's Word says about your situation so that you can see the supernatural transform the natural.

Fight Fear with God's Love!
Below is one of my favourite Scriptures on God's love. I encourage you to spend time meditating on what this is saying to you personally until God's love comes alive and real to you personally...

Be Anxious for Nothing!
Everyone experiences fear in differing degrees. Some may simply have niggling concerns that don’t seem to go away, whereas for others fear can be a controlling force in their lives. While fear can often manifest as a result of a sudden fright, shock or a traumatic situation, more often than not fear develops when we begin to worry or become anxious.
There are many fears and concerns that can arise in our lives. The Bible exhorts us however, not to worry or be anxious about anything (Phil 4:6). Worry or anxiety left unchecked will grow like a weed and choke the life from the Word of God, preventing it from growing and bearing fruit in our life. Instead, we need to resist, (oppose, withstand and strive against) any fears or concerns and they will flee from us! This means that the very second that we begin to question God’s truth or become fearful we need to react. We must make the conscious decision at the onset not to allow worry to take root, or entertain any thoughts or any impressions of fear. Don’t ignore these, instead resist and replace them by meditating on God’s Word and reminding yourself of the truth of who you are in Christ and what belongs to you as a believer. That way you will not only grow in the truth, but overcome and walk in victory over fear!

Replacing Fear With Faith!
Isn’t it so often true that while we may be hoping for the best, in reality we are actually fearing the worst? While it is not a sign of failure to experience fear as everyone will do so at times, the more attention we give to our fears, the more power they can have over us, and if we don’t know how to overcome those fears they can then easily end up controlling our lives. I have had many instances in my life where I have been consumed by fear. In fact, I used to be a slave to fear. It ruled my life. I now live in victory over fear, but it wasn’t until I learned to overcome that I realised how much fear had bound me.
Fear will never be your friend! Fear, when unchallenged, will cause us to lose sight of who we are in Christ and what we have already inherited as a believer. When this occurs we are deceived into thinking that we are weak and powerless. So while faith enables us to trust in God (His nature, character and power) and act on His Word, fear disables that ability.
Fear will always try to exalt itself in our minds to be greater than the power of God and His Word. If we don’t know how to gain victory over fear, especially in challenging circumstances, we may not be able to exercise authority over the situation to walk in our breakthrough. We therefore need to learn how to recognise, face and replace fear, because fear left unchallenged will not go away on its own.
2 Tim 1:7 (Amp) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity - of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear - but He has given us a spirit of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
God has not given us a spirit of timidity or fear! He has given us His Spirit of power and authority over all the works and power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). And this includes fear! Therefore, know and act on this truth instead of allowing fear to torment you any longer.
Over the next few posts I will show you how to face and overcome fear!
