New Message: How to Experience your Breakthrough By Faith
New Message 'How to receive your Breakthrough By Faith'. http://hannahsvictory.com/blog /2010/08/30/new-audio-message- how-to-experience-breakthrough -by-faith/
Relationship, Relationship, Relationship!
This week I am going to post some scriptures to encourage you to develop an intimacy in your relationship with God. I find that many believers struggle in this area. They see God as the ‘man upstairs’ that they need to appease rather than a loving Heavenly father that they can fellowship with.
My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me.Hos 4:6 (NLT)
The Bible tells us that Israel only knew God’s acts BUT Moses knew His ways. I believe that is time for us as His New Covenant children to get past just hearing about Him and instead start getting to KNOW Him, personally for ourselves. I encourage you to spend time mediating on the Scriptures I post so that your thinking can be renewed and your life transformed as a result!
This first message is a simple one. Let’s look at what the Bible says about God’s nature and character. I have already listed these on the Hannah’s Victory web site under Hannah’s Story but wanted to post them again here. These are powerful truths that need to form the foundation of our belief on God’s unchanging nature.
The Known Character of God
These are just some of the many references throughout the Bible that describe the loving nature and character of God:-
- God is love (1 John 4:8-10,16)
- God does not change (Mal 3:6, James 1:17)
- God does not lie (Num 23:19, Rom 3:4)
- God cannot act contrary to His own character (1 Cor 13 Amp)
- God does not alter His Word or break His Covenant (Ps 89:34)
- His Word is true and stands forever (1 Pet 1:25)
- God does not test or tempt us with evil (James 1:13-17)
- God’s Kingdom does not work against itself! A house divided against itself will fall!
- ONLY good gifts come from God (James 1:17)
- God does not withhold any good thing from those who are righteous (Ps 84:11b)
- He is looking to show Himself strong to you (2 Chr 16:9)
- All God’s callings and gifts are irrevocable (without repentance), which means that God does not change His mind (Rom 11:29 see Amp and MSG versions).
- God does not show partiality or favouritism (Acts 10:34, Rom 2:11), which means that He does not bless one person over another. His gifts and what He has ALREADY provided are freely available to all who believe in Him.
- God is light and in him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5)
- There is no wickedness in Him (Psalm 92:15)
- God is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 107:1)
- God is Slow to anger, abounding in love, faithfulness mercy and compassion (Neh 9:17, Ps 86:15, Jonah 4:2)
- The goodness of God leads to repentance (Rom 2:4)
- God’s mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13)
This message has also been posted on my Hannah's Victory Blog.

God will NOT fail you!
God Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down, relax My hold on you! Assuredly not! 6So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm. I will not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me? Heb 13:5-6 (Amp)

How to Squash Doubt and Unbelief
Because we live in a fallen world, we will all face doubts and discouragement from time to time. If we continue to feed on our doubts, or on the negatives we can become so overwhelmed that we may see no way out of our situation. So while doubt and discouragement cannot change God’s unconditional love toward us, it can change our ability to walk in what God has freely provided for us. This very thing happened to the children of Israel. God had said to Moses ‘Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel’ (Num 13:2). But instead of returning with a positive report and a strategy to take the land, 10 of the 12 spies came back with a negative report. And because the people didn’t mix God’s Word with faith, but instead believed the spies’ report, the Israelites spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness.
See Beyond the Natural
When we first discover the truth for our situation in God’s Word, our natural circumstances may seem worlds apart from that truth. Everything in the natural can seem to be against us. We can be in debt, be broke, have no education, have a rotten past, be infertile, have an incurable disease, or be constantly sick and hurting. But nothing in the natural can disqualify you from walking in God’s provision – unless you allow it to. Continue to meditate on God and His Word until your perspective changes and you see yourself with what He has provided for you. Look past the natural hindrances that are preventing your breakthrough and look only to the solution; see your situation through the eyes of faith and stop looking at your circumstances with a natural mindset!
When Joshua and Caleb spied out the Promised Land they were able to look past the natural circumstances. They looked through the eyes of God’s promise; they saw that the giants in the land could easily be defeated. However, the other 10 spies along with the children of Israel focused on the natural hindrances over God’s promise and provision. Their fear of the giants and the natural circumstances caused them to doubt God’s supernatural power and ability, and the credibility of His Word. As a result their perspective changed to the point where, instead of seeing themselves with the victory, they felt and saw themselves like ‘grasshoppers in their own sight’ (Num 13:33). They were defeated in their own sight because they couldn’t see how God was going to get them into the Promised Land past the giants. They looked at all the ‘mountains of impossibility’ they faced in the natural realm, and they forgot the promise of God. We too can fall into the same trap when we look at our own ‘mountains of impossibility’ such as debt, sickness or disease, or our adverse symptoms, diagnosis or circumstances. We need to be like Joshua and Caleb and look at our natural circumstances through the filter of God’s Word, so we are also able to see through the eyes of victory rather than through our natural eyes of defeat!
Believe and do not Doubt in your Heart!
Through our faith in Jesus we have already received everything we need to rule and reign in life. Once we know what we have inherited through Jesus (through God’s Word) we then need to learn how to walk by this truth and not by sight, feelings, symptoms or by what the natural realm is dictating to us. If we do focus on the natural circumstances instead of the truth found in God’s Word, then that is when doubt and unbelief can come in, and if entertained it will take root, grow and bear fruit in our life.
Mark 11:22-23 “Have faith in God”, Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
Did you know that the heart is the place where we decide which report we are going to believe? We therefore need to spend time meditating on the truth of God’s Word until we believe and do not doubt in our heart what it says. Meditating on God’s Word is not meant to be a one-off occurrence but rather a lifestyle of feeding on God’s truth until what it says comes alive and becomes real to you personally.
Go Take the Land!
If you want to possess what God has freely provided for you through Jesus then you too need to GO and possess the land! Keep trusting, believing and pressing through past the natural hindrances until you see the provision manifest in your life. This isn’t about self-effort in terms of working or trying to earn your breakthrough, but is simply about having an unwavering attitude that is determined to possess what already belongs to you. God’s Word paints the picture of what you can expect to see. So begin to see it, feel it and embrace it. Start seeing yourself with the answer rather than without it. What are you waiting for? Squash those doubts and unbelief and Go possess your Promised Land right now!

Rest in Jesus
Matt 11:28 (msg) "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
